Hi Tolga and team. Hereby we send you our directors proposal for the Vodafone Campaign Candy night. We present three directors we think are suitable for this project, Amir Zaza, Simon Jung and Tobias Pekelharing. Of the three Amir is our wildcard and new young dog at Holy Fools.

Simon is a Stockholm based Director and photographer. His work that mixes bright colors and grainy shots with Scandinavian minimalism makes up an interesting visual sensitivity. He has developped, with his passion for the active scene and culture, a dynamic, urban and human style.
Our latest young dog at Holy Fools. Amir discovered that film is the medium in which he can passionately shape and convey his vision of the world. Amir fled from Syria and ended up in the Netherlands after a long journey. The life experience that Amir gained during the war, his flee and his cultural background are reflected in the stories he wants to tell. This is clearly visible in his graduation film It Will Rain, that is selected from hundreds of shorts and nominated for the Hollywood Student Award, Amir tries to find the balance between entertainment and social urgency.
Airline pilot turned cinematographer, Tobias now combines the best of both fields. A very hands-on filmmaker, he gets involved on all levels. From the script to the music to the closing titles, so each element comes together with his beautiful cinematic aesthetic. His superior attention to detail pays off especially with actors, working closely with them to extract authentic, natural performances. Above all, Tobias dares to say no when things don’t feel right.
